the ore-bed in the environs of Lipetsk. It was revealed that the dolomite consists of rhombohedrons enclosing brown ferruginous concentric streaks (fig. 11). The author is believing that in this case there took place a penetration of especially fine colloidal particles into the crystallographic lattice of the dolomite; these particles were subjected to the process of coagulation. As this process of coagu­ lation took place within a crystallographic space lattice, L i e s e g a n g’s phe­ nomena arose, yet not in a coarse-dispersion, or colloidal medium, but in a cry­ stallographic lattice. The author thinks that his experiments and observrtions are rather consi­ derably expanding the region of distribution of L i e sc g a n g ’s phenomena under natural conditions.
